On September 18th, the Seoul National University museum opened another outstanding exhibition. “The 400 Year Legacy of the Joseon Craftsman – Shim Soo Kwan Exhibition” displays the works of Shim Soo Kwan, one of the most prominent producers of Satsuma pottery.

SNU “Rain for all” Provides Drinking Water for Vietnam
On the 5th of September, Seoul National University’s director of the Rainwater Research Center (Rain for all), Professor HAN Moo-young (Civil and Environmental Engineering) oversaw the completion ceremony of the rainwater upcycling facility in the Đại Cường elementary and middle schools of the Hà Nam province of Vietnam.

Seoul National University recently collaborated with KT Corporation to open the Center for Innovative Bioinformatics and Systems Biotechnology (IBIS). The opening ceremony, held on September 15, was attended by SUNG Nak-in, President of Seoul National University, and HWANG Chang-gyu, CEO of KT (formerly Korea Telecom).

Spine Disease Patients Find Relief with New Treatment
Professor LEE Sang Chul and his team (Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine of SNU Hospital) has found foraminotomy, a procedure used to relieve pressure on the nerves in the vertebrae, as an effective method of treatment for patients suffering from spine diseases such as spinal stenosis and spinal disk herniation.
