Law Professor Named as Candidate for Supreme Court Justice
The Supreme Court said, “Chief Justice Lee (Yong-hoon) recommended professor Yang to President Lee yesterday to succeed resigning Justice Kim (Hwang-shik, who has been appointed head of the Board of Audit and Inspection).”

Summer at SNU
We had a chance to talk with five world-renown scholars who were invited to the 2008 International Summer Institute, and while most of them admitted that they were surprised that they were chosen to teach at SNU, all were all inclined to agree that it was an excellent choice to accept the offer.

Making Ends Meet: More Scholarships for International Students
“I really didn’t expect it, since my GPA was quite lower than most of the Korean students. Now, I’m truly grateful for the scholarship, as it reduces the worries of having to pay for my tuition. It’s a big relief to know that now I’ll be able to concentrate more on my studies.”
