SNU Museum to Exhibit Ancient Mongolian Artifacts

Korea is exerting efforts to expand its cultural exchange with Mongolia.

Seoul National University Museum, which had for some time recognized the historical significance of the plains of Mongolia, will open a special exhibit on October 10 entitled"Mongolia, an Ancient Culture on the Vast Plains".

Some 250 artifacts from Mongolia will be on display. Many of the artifacts had been produced during the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age and are a clear testament to Mongolia's glorious ancient culture. The exhibit will also feature 19th century traditional Mongolian garments.

The exhibit will be held until January 15 next year. Visiting hours are from 10:00 - 17:00 daily except Sundays and national holidays.

Admission is free of charge.
