The Office of International Affairs (OIA) of SNU has announced SNU’s 10 Int’l Enterprises.
The 10 enterprises are as follows:
1) Strategic Exchange Agreement Establishment
2) The New-Civilization Project
3) Strategic Foreign Student Recruitment
4) SNU International Summer Institute
5) Scholarships for Excellent Foreign Students
6) World-class Foreign Professor Recruitment Project
7) The International Internship Program
8) Global Network Establishment
9) I-Office Operation
10) Overseas Office Operation
This list is an extension of the previous ‘SNU’s 7 Int’l Enterprises’ which were undertaken from 2007 to 2010.
As these enterprises succeeded in achieving the internationalization of SNU, SNU is now pursuing even more strategic international projects by concluding MOU’s with foreign universities and helping other universities in developing countries.
SNU’s Office of International Affairs Dean KIM Junki explained that SNU is making every effort to conclude and carry out exchange agreements with the world’s top 200 universities. This will give SNU students more opportunities to study abroad. Also, the new ‘Exchange Student Scholarship Program’ will provide economically challenged students with the opportunity to study abroad.
Furthermore, SNU has a new plan to conclude strategic MOU’s with universities in South-East Asia and Central Asia. As a leading university, SNU will help solve the worldwide poverty problem by offering expert knowledge to such less developed regions.
