Orientations held for newly incoming international students
The Office of International Affairs(OIA) recently held orientations for international students new to SNU,
to introduce and familiarize them with the school and what it has to offer.
The OIA hosted separate events, one for students in degree programs and another for visiting and exchange students from abroad.
This year, more than 100 students have come to SNU to pursue degree programs and more than 200 are here as visiting or exchange students.
The orientations covered the central issues of student life, along with other features such as invitations from SNU’s student clubs and a get-together with currently attending visiting and exchange students, where students shared insightful information about their experience at SNU.
The University regularly provides international students with programs attending to students’ needs, be it academic or just for a more enjoyable campus experience, and the orientations were only the first of many programs planned for the 2008 academic year.
Student Ambassador volunteer students wrapped up the program with a comprehensive tour of the campus, personally guiding the new students through Gwanak’s wide expanses. The program closed with good wishes and encouragement for the spring semester.
