The SNU Shining Board is a staff-led group composed of about 15 employees with diverse roles and ranks who have served for less than ten years. Its primary aim is to improve organizational culture and foster innovative ideas within the university. The term for the 5th cohort members will span from June 2025 to February 2026.

The ceremony will be attended by key university officials, including President Ryu Hong Lim, Executive Vice President Kim Jun Ki, Director Park In Kwon of the University Innovation Center(UIC), Director Oh Joo Hwan of Data Integration Management Department of UIC, and Director Jung Bong Moon of the Bureau of General Administration, alongside the 16 newly appointed board members. The event will feature a presentation of operational plans by the 5th cohort, an address by President Ryu, and the awarding of appointment certificates.

The SNU Shining Board was established to move beyond the traditional seniority-based organizational culture, encouraging autonomous and dynamic communication. Its goal is to uncover and propose fresh policies and ideas, thereby promoting a broader consensus within the university and stimulating diverse changes. The board actively addresses key issues related to organizational culture, effective communication, efficiency improvements, and ESG management. It also engages in regular exchanges and campaigns with similar organizations, contributing significantly to organizational improvements and university development.

The SNU Shining Board's notable achievements contributed to Seoul National University's recognition as "Workplace of the Year" at THE Awards Asia 2022, an award highlighting universities that excel in employee-friendly environments and effective staff communication.

Starting with the 5th cohort, expanded practical benefits, including recognized training hours, meeting allowances, and support for overseas training, will be provided, which is expected to enhance active participation and yield positive outcomes.
