Seoul National University is hosting the "2024 SNU Art Week: ArtSpace@SNU" from Monday, September 23 to Friday, September 27, 2024. Art Week, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, is a festival that shares the creative capabilities of Seoul National University members both inside and outside the school. Events covering a wide range of fields such as music, art, and literature are taking place across the Gwanak, Yeongeon, Siheung, and Pyeongchang campuses, as well as in nearby community spaces.

This year’s Art Week is held with SNU Fall Festival “Romance.zip” (September 24(Tue) to 26(Thurs)), creating a vibrant ArtSpace that blends classical art, experimental performances, and popular genres.

The opening performance, Musical Reading Play 〈Ttaraji〉, is one of five musical reading plays -an experimental genre being introduced in the field of literature for the first time this year. These performances alternate between the reading of literary texts and the performance of program music composed based on those texts, sharing with the audience the process of exploring literary works.

In the music category, the Cine Music Festival is a crowd favorite, where attendees can enjoy live performances of film soundtracks by students from the College of Music. The arts category showcases 29 student artworks. A total of 50 events are scheduled, including street performances by students, showcasing not only the talents of art students but also non-major participants.

Seoul National University expressed its hope that the “2024 Art Week: ArtSpace@SNU” serves as an opportunity to inspire the artistic sensibilities and enthusiasm of both the university community and local residents.
