SNU Achieves 31st in the QS World University Rankings

Seoul National University (SNU) proudly secures the 31st position globally (6th in Asia, 1st in Korea) in the recently published QS World University Rankings 2025.

The QS Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) annually evaluates universities worldwide based on nine indicators that measure research strength, graduate employability, education experience, global engagement, and sustainability. This year, rankings for 1,530 institutions were released.

SNU has continuously endeavored to enhance its academic reputation and research competitiveness, including the publication of Korea universities' first ESG Report. As a result, SNU's overall ranking improved by 10 places compared to the previous year. SNU excelled in key areas such as Graduate Employment Outcomes (perfect score of 100), Academic Reputation (98.5), Employer Reputation (98.6), and Sustainability (96).

Additionally, for the second time since 2022, SNU received the Employability Champions award from QS. This award recognizes universities with outstanding graduate employability and global reputation.

This achievement reflects the dedication and efforts of the SNU community. SNU will continue to strengthen its research capabilities and solidify its role as a global leader in higher education.
