On September 24, the SNU Career Development Center (CDC) held its Global Leader Lecture Program. Every semester, the CDC invites CEOs and executive members from various industry sectors to share their experiences and insights with SNU members.
This semester, SNU alumnus and Samsung Card Vice President Lee Injae gave a lecture titled, “The Customer Journey, Samsung Card and Me.” As a finance expert, Ms. Lee first went over the current trends in finance and the credit card industry. Also, drawing upon her years of experience working in a corporate environment, she gave advice on developing the skills that companies are looking for as well as tips during the interview process. She also shared her career journey that took her from Korea to the US and back, and the important values in life that she learned throughout. She discussed her unique experience as the first woman to become an executive member and a vice president in the Samsung financial division.
Several SNU students who attended the event reported that it was a meaningful opportunity for them to think about important values in life as well as to explore a career in finance.
The Global Leader Lecture Program is just one of the programs held by the CDC to help SNU students develop their careers. They also offer various lectures by experts, campus recruiting events as well as mentoring and consulting sessions. For more information, visit http://career.snu.ac.kr/
