The SNU College of Natural Sciences and the SNU Science Outreach Center will be opening a Natural Sciences Experience Camp from August 3 to 5. Applications for the program will be available on the College of Natural Sciences or the SNU Science Outreach Center homepage.

The Natural Sciences Experience Camp is a camp for public high school students across the nation to experience and participate in various lab activities that are unavailable at their schools. The camp plans to provide students with research opportunities to explore their possible future major.

This will be the eighth Natural Sciences Experience Camp, open exclusively to students in the second year of public high schools. It will accept students based on a lottery system with no special regard for students from certain districts. Additionally, since the seventh camp, the program has provided application fee exemption for students who cannot afford to apply.

The 8th Natural Sciences Experiences Camp has five different sections: mathematics and statistics, physics and astronomy, chemistry, biological sciences, and earth science. For each area, there will be professors and graduate student teaching assistants who will prepare lectures and lab practices. There will also be mentoring sessions available for the participants to meet with the current SNU students.
