Gwanak Campus Electrical Power-out Notice

Due to inspection of electrical equipment, facilities and infrastructure, a power-outage is scheduled to take place at the Gwanak Campus during the summer.

 

•Power-outage Schedule:

The power-out will take place in three phases:

-Phase 1: June 6th 9:00 ~ June 8th 21:00 (60 hours)

Please take note in particular that the Central University Library (building #62) will be cut off and the central air conditioning will stop during this time.

 

-Phase 2: August 15th 9:00~14:00

The College of Humanities and College of Education will be affected during this period.

 

-Phase 3: August 16th 9:00~14:00

 

Please refer to the chart below to see which buildings will be affected at each period.

•Please take note of the following guidelines to minimize any discomfort or damage due to the electrical power out.

1.       Notify all students, faculty, and staff about the power-out in advance to minimize discomfort.

2.       For certain departments, make sure precautions are taken in advance for cultivation, refrigeration, and storage.

3.       To prevent damage to electrical appliances, unplug them prior to the electrical power-out.

4.       Once the electrical power returns, proceed with caution before using electrical appliances.
