Seoul National University will be providing opportunities for foreign students from overseas universities (including graduate school) to take a summer session course in Seoul National University. All classes will be delivered in Korean.
2. Eligibility
(1)Nationality: Foreigner nationalities (excluding Korean nationalities)
(2)Korean language proficiency to take a class delivered in Korean.
(3)Study experience in foreign college of more than a semester.
(4) Current studentship of foreign college.
3. Summer Session Course Application
(1) You should send single copy of the application by April 27th.

(2) After arriving in Korea: submit the following documents to the Office of International Affairs of
Seoul National University
- A certificate of Studentship
- A copy of your passport
* Note: If the information on your documents or application is found to be false, you will not be able
to take a summer session course and the tuition fee will also not be refunded. Student
him/herself is totally responsible for all this matter.

* Class Cancellation Notice
The minimum number of students taking an each class will be 20; otherwise the class will be cancelled. Cancelled classes will be posted on a MySNU (http://my.snu.ac.kr) web board and a homepage of Office of International Affairs (http://oia.snu.ac.kr). You can check whether the class you applied for is cancelled or not, and if so, you are able to change the course or get a refund. For more detailed information, refer to article no.8, no.9
5. Maximum Credits: 9 Credits for both undergraduate/graduate students.

2) Class Registration
Class registration will be available in http://sugang.snu.ac.kr by internet during the class
registration period (May 4th - 11th). Information for logging in to the site will be sent through
e-mail with the Approval/Rejection for taking a summer session course
* Class Registration Site, nevertheless, will only be opened during the class registration period
(May 4th - 11th).
7. Tuition Fee Payment
1) Tuition Fee
- Lecture Class: 40,500 Won per 1 credit
- Experiment, Practice Class (including physical exercise class): 45,500 Won per 1 credit.
However you should pay for extra fee when you are taking classes exterior facilities, balling,
swimming, etc.
2) Tuition Fee Payment 1st Term
- Bill Printing: You are able to print out the tuition fee bill on MySNU Website (http://my.snu.ac.kr)
from Monday, June 1st to Friday, June 5th.
- Payment Period: Monday, June 1st - Friday, June 5th. 09:30~16:00
- How to pay: You can pay it by visiting any Korean local banks (including Korean Post office,
National Credit Union Federation of Korea, Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperative,
etc.) or paying it by Virtual Accounts (Online Banking, Telephone Banking, ATM, etc.)
* Only Korean local banks are available.
3) Tuition Fee Payment 2nd Term
- Payment Period: Monday, June 15th - Friday, June 19th 09:30~16:00
- How to pay: You can use the Nonghyup Seoul National University branch only.
* If you do not finish the payment by the 2nd Payment Term, your application for summer session
will be automatically cancelled.
8. Refund Policy
1) Tuition fee already paid will not be refunded without excuses.
If you demand, however, a refund by Friday, June 19th, the day before summer session starts,
then all tuition fee paid will be refunded.
2) If a student can take no further summer session course because of disease, death, or other
accidents, then tuition fee will be refunded according to following criterion.
- Before one third date of whole session: two third of the tuition fee will be refunded.
- From one third of whole session to the half-date of whole session: half a tuition fee will be
refunded.
- After the half-date: no more refund.
9. Class Registration Confirmation and Modification
1) Notice of the cancelled classes #1: it will be noticed on May 18th.
2) Class Modification Period: Monday, May 25th - Wednesday, May 27th
3) Method: You can change maximum 2 classes or 6 credits on http://sugang.snu.ac.kr
4) You cannot change the classes after the class modification period. If the class you applied for
is cancelled, however, you can apply for another class or demand for refund.
5) Notice of the cancelled classes #2: it will be noticed on June 11th.
10. Report Card
Report card can be issued from September 1st, in Bureau of General Administration
1) Issuance Method
- Visit the Bureau of General Administration (Bldg #60, 1st Floor) and ask for the issuance
- Demand the postal issuance by telephone/e-mail.

11. Lodging
School dormitory will not be provided for the students taking a summer session course. Seoul National University will not provide any information for interior/exterior lodging.
