Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics; Research Internship Program for Undergraduate students

The SNU Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics offers Internship Programs for undergraduate students during winter vacation. This program offers an opportunity for students to experience the laboratory life in person and build research experience.

1. What is the Research Internship Program?
The aim of this program is to offer undergraduate students the opportunity to do life science research in person. In doing so, this program will guide students in determining the course of their life and will contribute to the development of research on human resources.

3. Qualifications
- Qualification: SNU Undergraduate students and who are interested in the research of life science
- Openings: 16 (2 persons to each laboratory)

4. Required Documents
- One copy of the Application form (enclosed file)

- One copy of Certification of GPA

- Note:
ㆍ Application form is recommended to be written in Korean. Also, participants of this program are likely to be communicating in Korean during internship period. For further lingual information, please contact the Lab you are interested in directly.
ㆍ If you submit your application form via e-mail, you are still required to attach Certification of GPA.

5. Application Process
- Due date: Tuesday, November 25th 2008

- How to apply:
1) Submit your application form to: gmkks@snu.ac.kr, or
2) Visit office of Instituteof Molecular Biologyand Genetics and submit the application form in person (Bldg. 105, Room 109)
3) Selected students will be personally informed by the end of November.
4) Internship Duration: during the winter vacation (mid December 2008 ~ mid February 2009)

7. Conditions of Internship
- Specially honored: Undergraduate students who can participate and perform research in person on full-time system
- Research expenses and materials for experiment will be offered
- Research coaching from professor, researcher, and graduate student
- Prescribed payment will be offered
