Nobel Prize Winner Sir Timothy Hunt’s Special Invitation Lecture

Seoul National University’s BK21 Advanced Training Program for Biological Science, Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Research Center for Functional Cellulomics, and Institute of Microbiology are hosting Sir Timothy Hunt, 2001 Nobel Prize winner for Physiology/Medicine, and his student, Dr. Jonathan Pines for a special lecture. The lecture will guide audiences to issues of current Biology, the life and death of cells, and understanding of its controlling mechanisms. The audience will have a chance to hear about the recent research activities to cure cancer that are based on the in-depth understanding of the cell cycle mechanism.


We are preparing a free lunch session after the lecture. After which, there will be another special session, “Discussion forum with young researcher and students,” is scheduled at 2:00 PM, on the 1st floor Mokam Hall, BK Building (Building No. 500). Please take advantage of this opportunity.
