Exhibition: Learning from Chinese Ink Paintings of the Past

The Seoul National University Museum, in collaboration with the National Museum of History in Taiwan and Hengso Museum of Keimyung University in Daegu, will be holding a special exhibition titled, “Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings of China— Learning from Chinese Ink Paintings of the Past.” Approximately 100 pieces by 11 famous modern and contemporary Chinese artists will be held on display. This is a great chance to see the development process and the influence of Western art on Chinese paintings.

The Opening Ceremony: Tuesday, October 13th, 2009. 4p.m.
Exhibition Period: October 14th, 2009 ~ January 9th, 2010.
(The exhibition will also be held at Hengso Museum of Keimyung University from February 1st to April 24th, 2010)
Place and Opening Time of Exhibition: Open from 10:00 ~ 17:00, Monday through Saturday (the exhibition will also be open on SNU Foundation Day, which is October 15th) at the 2nd floor Exhibition Room at SNU Museum.
