The 『University Administration Service Researchers for Foreign Students』 together with 『SISA(SNU International Students Association)』are hosting an open invitation to create a UCC with the theme, “Introducing Life at SNU to Foreigners at SNU” (which includes professors, students, researchers, other visitors).

※ The prizewinning work will be used as a guide for foreigners at SNU after adding English subtitles

Invitation Duration: Thursday, Sep. 13^th 2007 ~ Friday Oct. 12^th 2007

 

Theme & Format: A UCC Media shorter than 10 minutes and less than 100Mb that will introduce life at SNU to foreigners at SNU and be a help in their university lives.

  (UCCs that are either entirely in English or have English subtitles, will be given an advantage)

  (example)

-        Department Introduction, Club (dong-a-ree) Introduction, Guide to Dormitory Life, Introduction of convenient facilities or various organizations within the university

-        How to apply for classes effectively, How to perfect the use of the cafeterias, How to use the library

-        The scenic spots of SNU, guide to free-of-charge performances etc…

 

Submitter Qualification: Must be a member of the SNU community, past or present (instructor, student, staff, researcher, alumni etc…)

 

Awards and Prizes

First Place (1 Content): Cash Prize of 300,000 Won

1^st Runner Up (1 Content): Cash Prize of 100,000 Won

Merited Works (10 Contents): Gift Vouchers worth 20,000

 

Prize Winning Works Announcement: Friday, Oct. 19^th 2007 (to be confirmed)

Please note the following important points!!!

 - Submitted works will be copyrighted by the University Administration Service Researchers for Foreign Students and will not be returned to the submitter.

 - Plagiarized contents and contents that have been previously awarded at other competitions cannot be submitted and if discovered after the prize has been rewarded, the award and the prize will be retrieved.
