(June 20-22) An Exhibition Exploring the Violence and Love-Hate Dynamics Embedded in K-Pop <K-Pop Funeral Café>
To Gapcheol...
Gapcheol, you know, I thought you would be the last idol in my life. Since your debut, there has never been a moment I didn't love you to death.
But is this really how an idol should treat their fans? The Gapcheol we knew is gone.
With all your sins, I don’t know if you’ll ever ascend... But congratulations on your death as an idol. :)

~ From the official fan club of "My Happy Year," Your Ear (First Generation) ~
Name: Jang Gapcheol, Age: 25
Member of the group My Happy Year,
a kira-kira idol beloved by the fandom Your Ear.
But… Smoking, riding a motorcycle without a helmet, dating scandals, hair loss, beard stubble, fan disdain…"idol magic-breaking taboos"—Gapcheol has violated countless sacred rules.
The fandom Your Ear now believes:
The favorite idol we loved to death... deserves to die.
<K-Pop Funeral Café> is an exhibition that showcases the extreme love-hate dynamics within K-Pop, one of Korea’s most celebrated cultural industries. Combining the concepts of birthday cafes and funeral rituals, this event aims to expose and reflect on the intense emotional attachments and expectations that fans project onto idols.
Join us in celebrating the final farewell of idol Gapcheol—
The K-Pop Funeral Café!
*Visitors will receive commemorative stickers, photocards, and drinks in memory of Gapcheol.
