About the Lecture
A translator’s job is to sense and appropriately convey subtle differences in emotional tone between languages. Through professional training and experience, translators become skilled at identifying the emotional undercurrents in the original text. This ability not only helps them understand the author’s emotional intention, but also provides insight into how their own writing may be perceived by others. In this lecture, we will explore how adopting a translator’s mindset can help communicate emotions more effectively in writing.
