[SNU Mentoring] Recruitment Notice for “Explore SNU” Event Staff (~June 8)

Greetings from SNU Mentoring, part of the Seoul National University Center for Global Social Responsibility.

SNU Mentoring is an annual online mentoring program running from April to November. To strengthen the mentor-mentee relationship and motivate participants to engage actively in the latter part of the program, we will be holding an in-person event called “Explore SNU.”

We are currently recruiting staff members to help plan and run this event. We look forward to your interest and participation.

1. Event Schedule (Full participation required):

  • Main Event Dates:

    • Saturday, July 26, 2025

    • Saturday, August 2, 2025

  • Planning Meetings:

    • June 24 (Tue), July 1 (Tue), July 8 (Tue), July 18 (Fri), July 22 (Tue), July 29 (Tue)

  • Simulation Days:

    • July 25 (Fri), August 1 (Fri)


2. Location:

SNU Global Social Contribution Institute (Bldg. 153) and other areas on Gwanak Campus


3. Purpose:

To foster positive relationships between SNU students and middle/high school students nationwide through direct dialogue and campus visits, thereby enhancing mentees’ academic motivation.


4. Participants:

SNU students participating in SNU Mentoring and middle/high school students from across Korea


5. Activities:

  • Planning and preparation of the “Explore SNU” program

  • Assisting and operating programs on the day of the event (e.g., ice-breaking, group/1:1 mentoring, campus tours)

  • Providing guidance as one-day staff

  • Supporting mentor-mentee engagement


6. Mandatory In-person Activities:

  • Pre-training (3 hours):

    • June 24 (Tue), 19:00–21:00

  • Planning Meetings (4 hours each):

    • July 1, July 8, July 22, July 29 (19:00–22:00)

    • July 18 (14:00–17:00)

  • Simulation and Briefing (14 hours total):

    • July 25, August 1 (10:00–18:00)

  • Main Event (16 hours total):

    • July 26 & August 2 (9:00–18:00)
      (Attendance on both days required)

※ Activity time will be compensated with either payment or volunteer hours.
※ Additional informal meetings may occur as needed.


7. Eligibility:

Current SNU undergraduate or graduate students (including those on leave)

Applicants must:

  • Have completed a first aid training course (within the past 2 years) before the event

  • Not be participating as a mentor in the 2025 SNU Mentoring program
    (Mentors may apply only if their mentees are not participating on the event date)

Preferred candidates:

  • Previous “Explore SNU” staff

  • Experience in GSC (Global Social Contribution) programs

  • Full availability for all required dates

11. Participation Benefits (choose one):

  1. Activity stipend: KRW 10,030/hour (applies to training, meetings, and event days)

  2. 1365 Volunteer Hour Certification

  3. Credit for Social Service course (1 credit)
    (Graduate students should confirm separately)
