About the Speaker
Dr. Kyooho Jung received his Ph.D. in Public Administration from the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at SNU. Over the past two decades, he has worked with various alternative research organizations such as the Wind and Water Research Institute, the Third Sector Institute, and the Mosim and Sallim Institute. His work spans environmental policy, grassroots democracy, social economy, and sustainable agriculture. He has served in key roles at several civic organizations, including Eco-Buddha, the Green Society Institute, and the Korean Federation of Sustainable Agriculture Organizations. He is currently the Vice President of the Association for the Study of Life Sciences.
His recent book, Green State: Theories and Strategies for a Sustainable Korea, offers a comprehensive reflection on building an alternative, eco-oriented society.
