The Public Interest Table is a discussion series designed to help SNU law students explore career paths in the field of public interest law. For our second session in 2025, we are pleased to welcome Philippe Larochelle, a Canadian lawyer specializing in international criminal law and human rights, currently serving as the President of the ICC Bar Association.

In this session, Mr. Larochelle will speak about the critical challenges faced by the International Criminal Court, the role and qualifications of defense counsel in international criminal proceedings, the importance of pro bono legal work, and the career development path toward becoming a lawyer in international criminal law.

Students interested in legal practice in the international arena are especially encouraged to attend.

  • This event is open to all interested individuals, not only SNU Law students.

  • A light lunch and refreshments will be provided to attendees.

  • Korean-English interpretation will be available during the Q&A session.
