Greetings from Global Development Institute for Public Affairs, SNU!
The GDI Colloquium series I 'A world without USAID : The implications for global social policy ' will be held on Friday, 25 April at Rm. 203 Bldg. 57, GSPA, SNU.
- The purpose of this colloquium is to provide students interested in international development cooperation, public health, social welfare, and global governance with a forum for academic discussion, and to examine the potential impacts that the reduction or termination of aid from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) could have on global social policy. Based on similar cases such as the reduction of Official Development Assistance (ODA) or the discontinuation of public health and welfare programs, this event aims to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and broaden participants' understanding of the future direction of global social policy in situations where key development actors are absent.
