Seoul National University Central Library, Korea’s largest repository of Western classical literature,
is hosting a special exhibition to showcase rare books never publicly displayed and share their historical significance.
The exhibition will feature carefully selected works, including a first edition of Rousseau’s Émile, ou De l’éducation(1762), a globally rare
documentary heritage, along with the only known copy of Diderot and d’Alembert’s Encyclopédie(1751–1772) held in Korea.
The exhibition will be held on the first floor of the Kwanjeong Building from February 10 to April 11.
Postcards and bookmarks featuring illustrations from the exhibited works will be available for free.
We look forward to your visit and participation.
*On the opening day, the exhibition will open to visitors starting at 2 PM.
