The 1st Public Education Learning Data Seminar 2025

The Learning Science Research Institute and the Learning Data Research Center at Seoul National University are pleased to host a seminar featuring Professor John Stamper from Carnegie Mellon University on the topic of "Establishing an Ecosystem of Educational Data in the Public Education Domain." This seminar aims to provide a platform for academic discussions on building an learning data ecosystem.

Professor John Stamper is an Associate Professor at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute, Carnegie Mellon University and the Technical Director of the Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center DataShop, the world’s largest educational data repository. A leading expert in educational data mining and intelligent tutoring systems, he has played a key role in advancing educational data analytics through his work at DataShop.

This seminar will explore the advancements and potential of AI and machine learning in educational technology for large-scale educational data. In particular, the seminar will introduce adaptive learning systems and potential improvements aimed at enhancing students' learning efficiency through the use of big data and data mining technologies.

This seminar will be highly beneficial for researchers and students interested in learning data, AI-based education systems, and data-driven learning solutions.
