Hello, this is the Department of Sociology at Seoul National University.

The Seoul National University Sociology Graduate Student Council is holding a sociology department forum on the current situation, including the December 3rd martial law and the December 14th passage of the presidential impeachment motion. The forum will take place this Friday, December 27th, at 4 PM in Room 307 of Building 223 (Woo Suk Economic Building).

At this sociology department forum, we have invited Professor Park Kyung-sook (Seoul National University), Professor Seo Dong-jin (Kaywon University of Art & Design), and Professor Shin Jin-wook (Chung-Ang University). We will discuss not only the constitutional/legal issues of martial law and the threat to democracy as an institutional politics, but also the real-time broadcast of martial law, the mourning abandoned by the martial law, citizens who have returned to the streets and those who could not, and the direction our society should take after going through all these processes.
