[Seoul National University Student Social Responsibility Group] Invitation to the 2024 2nd Semester Project Results Sharing Session

Hello,

We invite you to the 2024 2nd Semester Project Results Sharing Session hosted by the Student Social Responsibility Group, an official organization under the SNU Global Social Responsibility Institute.

Each semester, the Student Social Responsibility Group enables students to take the lead in social contribution efforts, addressing issues through direct engagement and meaningful action. This semester, our members connected with various communities and made efforts that resulted in positive and tangible changes across society.

At the Results Sharing Session, we invite members of the SNU community who are interested in student-led social contribution to hear about the impactful changes we achieved through our collective passion. Your presence and valuable feedback would be greatly appreciated.

A light dinner will be provided to participants, and we look forward to creating a casual and engaging space to discuss the power of student-driven social responsibility.

This Semester's Theme: "Flashlight"

Under the theme "Flashlight", six teams passionately worked to discover and illuminate overlooked social issues and marginalized communities, turning negative perceptions into opportunities for positive change.

  1. Turtle Dream Team: Project to raise awareness and support individuals with borderline intellectual disabilities.
  2. Crisp Team: Nutrition support project for children in group homes (small-scale child welfare facilities).
  3. Empty & Fill Team: Projects for improving “spaces” and “environments” such as local commercial district revitalization, community gardening, and waste bin enhancements.
  4. Book Sound Team: Awareness and support project for North Korean defectors, including book-writing initiatives for North Korean youth.
  5. Colorfully Team: Barrier-free makeup project and awareness improvement for individuals with visual impairments.
  6. Baef Team: Awareness-raising exhibitions and production of resources to promote barrier-free accessibility.
