The SNU Regional Talent Development Initiative invites you to participate in the 2025 Regional Startup Solverthon Competition, designed to address regional disparities and the risk of depopulation. This event aims to discover innovative entrepreneurial ideas and support aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming their concepts into impactful regional startups. - Individual: Current students or graduates (within 3 years) from non-metropolitan universities.
- Teams: At least half of team members must meet the individual eligibility criteria (maximum 5 members).
- Startup companies: No restrictions on company age.
- Duration: November 22, 2024 (Friday) – January 21, 2025 (Tuesday)

- Day 1 & 3: Seoul National University, Gwanak Campus
- Day 2: Korea Science and Technology Center

IR pitching, booth exhibitions, and more - Participation Fee: Free
2. Schedule and Key Stages
- Application Period: November 22 (Friday) – December 4 (Wednesday), 2024, 10:00 PM
- Process:
- Application Submission: November 22 – December 4
- First Round: Document screening to select 20 teams (December 10–13)
- Second Round: Presentation evaluation to select 10 additional teams (December 16 – January 16)
- Finals: Team presentations, judging, and award ceremony (January 19–21, 2025)
- Follow-up Support: Commercialization funding and networking opportunities (February – December 2025)
3. Evaluation Criteria
- Impact (30 points): Contribution to solving regional issues and boosting the local economy
- Feasibility (20 points): Specificity of implementation plans
- Scalability (20 points): Potential for business model growth
- Marketability (20 points): Ability to meet customer demand and secure target users
- Team Capacity (10 points): Team expertise, intellectual property, or patents
4. Awards
- Total Prize Fund: 31 million KRW
- Grand Prize (1 team): 5 million KRW
- Excellence Award (2 teams): 3 million KRW each
- Merit Award (3 teams): 2 million KRW each
- Encouragement Award (4 teams): 1 million KRW each
- Special Award (20 teams): 500,000 KRW each
