'Energy Up! Exploring the New Energy Industry, Overseas Program 5th Batch - U.S. Training' Recruitment of Participants

1. Program Overview

• Duration: January 19 (Sunday) – January 26 (Sunday), 2025 (6 nights, 8 days)
• Location: The Geysers Geothermal Energy Development Site, universities, and energy-related industries in the San Francisco area, California, USA
• Main Activities: Site visits, expert lectures, team projects, etc.
• Eligibility: Undergraduate students currently enrolled in participating universities of the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project for the second semester of 2024. Preference will be given to students who have taken courses related to geothermal energy engineering or the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project and participated in extracurricular activities.
• Benefits: Support for participation fees, certificate of participation issued by the project director, awards for outstanding teams during the final presentation.

2. Recruitment Details

• Number of Participants: Approximately 15 undergraduate students

  • Submission of official English test scores and academic transcripts is required.
• Selection Notice: Only successful applicants will be notified individually by email by November 11, 2024.

3. Important Information

• Mandatory Requirements: Attendance at pre-education sessions, submission of a pre-trip report, and participation in the final presentation are required.

  • December 20, 2024 (Friday), 11:00: Pre-education (Program briefing, guidelines for writing pre-trip reports, team formation, etc.)
  • By January 10, 2025 (Friday), 17:00: Submission of pre-trip report (research on-site materials, summary of current status, learning objectives, and plans, etc.)
  • February 14, 2025 (Friday), 14:00: Final presentation (Sharing of achievements and outcomes of the training program)
