AI is transforming our lives beyond just technical innovation in specific fields. At this critical juncture, we must gather collective wisdom to establish a rational governance system throughout the entire lifecycle of AI to ensure its development and use are as beneficial as possible for all humanity.
Since 2017, the Seoul AI Policy Initiative (SAPI) has been hosting the SEOUL AI POLICY CONFERENCE, bringing together leading experts from academia and industry to discuss the direction and issues of AI policies and norms. This year's conference, co-hosted with the Center for Trustworthy AI at Seoul National University (CTAI), will be held over two days on August 12th and 13th, 2024.
The conference will highlight frontier issues at the forefront of global AI governance discussions, seeking practical and sustainable solutions and specific implementation measures. Keynote speeches by renowned scholars and corporate leaders such as Daniel J. Solove, Pamela Samuelson, Christopher S. Yoo, and Jason Matusow, a conversation with Jason Kwon from OpenAI, and panel discussions on the establishment of AI standards, AI governance models, privacy, copyright, misinformation, human rights, and competition will be featured among the 10 thematic panels addressing major issues in AI governance.
We welcome the participation of those interested in establishing the theoretical foundation for AI governance and seeking effective and actionable solutions. Simultaneous translation (Korean-English) will be provided throughout the event.
