First Steps for Successful Entrepreneurship! Recruitment Notice for the 5th SNU Haedong Junior Startup Program

"The SNU Haedong Junior Startup Program is a signature startup cultivation program that embodies the specialized knowledge and know-how of Seoul National University's technological entrepreneurship. Since its inception in 2019, this program has seen a rapid increase in participants, focusing on discovering entrepreneurial talents with high potential and nurturing them into future unicorn companies.

Seoul National University's startup specialist mentors, including Professor Lee Jong-Soo and Professor Kim Jang-Gil, who have years of experience in cultivating technological entrepreneurship teams, thoroughly assess the activities of each startup team and provide unlimited mentoring and consulting on the entire process of entrepreneurship, from idea exploration to business model establishment, business planning, investment attraction, marketing, and promotion.

Furthermore, this program is the largest startup support program at Seoul National University, providing a total of 180 million won in startup encouragement funds annually. It supports the formation of startup teams by exceptional individuals capable of various roles, enabling them to realize their entrepreneurial ideas and grow. In fact, the SNU Haedong Junior Startup Program in the past four years has produced outstanding company achievements worth a cumulative total of 100 billion won.

This program is open to anyone within the university community, regardless of major or position. It is the most excellent and effective startup program that encompasses all departments and colleges at Seoul National University. 1. Recruitment Period: July 6, 2023, to August 6, 2023.

3. Eligibility: Seoul National University members (students, graduates, professors, etc.) who meet the participation requirements of this program and are representatives of (prospective) startup companies.

4. Key Support Items:

   1. Co-working space provided (Gongjon34, Haedong Idea Factory)
   2. Free mentoring and consulting from technology and entrepreneurship experts
   3. Connection to specialized and excellent accelerators and investors for early-stage startups

5. Detailed Schedule:

   1. Selection results: Mid-August
   2. Completion of SNU Haedong Junior Program (September 1, 2023)
   3. Mid-term evaluation: November 2023
   4. Final evaluation: March 2024
   • Based on the evaluation results, differential support of 3 million to 30 million won per company (around 20 companies will be selected)

6. Program Completion Requirements: (Phase 1) SNU Haedong Startup Online Workshop (Phase 2) Expert consulting/mentoring (Phase 3) Participation in external programs (entrepreneurship competitions, startup support programs, accelerators, etc.)
