Lecture Introduction: The ways in which researchers and institutions are directly addressing societal challenges such as
climate adaptation, sustainable use of oceans, and mental health and well-being, and the ways in which
Springer Nature approaches such research and the Sustainable Development Goals, and the institutional
challenges in documenting and assessing researchers’ societal impacts.
