○ Lecturer : Erik Moss Husketh(Human Right Officer)
- Introduction
Eric Husketh (he/him) is a Human Rights Officer with the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at its field-based structure in Seoul. His work in Seoul focuses on accountability for possible crimes against humanity in the DPRK. He is also particularly interested in the human rights of LGBTI people. Prior to joining OHCHR Seoul, he served as a Human Rights Officer in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, with the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI). Since joining the UN in 2009, he has also served as a legal officer in various capacities at the UN International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (UNICTR), the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC, also known as the “Khmer Rouge Tribunal”), the UN Mission in Kosovo, and in the Office of Legal Affairs at UN Headquarters in New York. Eric grew up on a farm in North Carolina, USA, and is admitted to the New York Bar.
