Professor Park Jong Hwa has released a new album, “누나야: NUNAYA”, which contains eleven recordings of Korean children’s songs and traditional songs he arranged as piano solos. Since the age of five, Professor Park has studied the piano abroad at the Tokyo College of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, Italy’s ‘Fondazione per il Pianoforte’ masterclass, Spain’s Queen Sofía College of Music and the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. He was appointed as a professor at the College of Music in 2007 when he was only 33 years old. He says thirty years of living abroad has led him to want to release a distinctively Korean album. The title of the album is derived from his favorite children’s song, “Ummaya, Nunaya”, which means ‘mother, sister’ in Korean. The album will be released online in August through Universal Music.
