Professor YOON Euijoon (Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering)

Professor YOON Euijoon (Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering) has co-developed a way to build graphene directly on light emitting diodes (LEDs) with Professor CHUN Seung-Hyun (Sejong University). Previously, graphene could only be built on copper and had to be transferred to other boards which proved to be problematic. Also, the research team used chemical vapor deposition to prevent the LEDs from being damaged while building graphene on top of them. Two patents have been submitted for review.
