SNU Central Library Redesigns Book Cafe

The SNU Central Library completed the redesigning of the Book Cafe on the fourth floor, and subsequently launched a new exhibition of SNU professors’ books.

Students are welcoming this renewal which has made the place brighter and much more pleasant. A student who saw the exhibition of professors’ books said, “I could see many SNU professors’ books at one glance, and I want to read them all one by one.”

Also, at the Book Cafe visitors can read at the Book Cafe not only professors’ books but also bright academic books that the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Korea have selected, as well as a variety of magazines related to current issues, comic books, and digital newspapers.

Moreover, visitors can see colorful paintings entitled ‘Flowers’ by the painter HAN Jeong Soo which were borrowed from the SNU Museum of Art (MoA).

The books displayed in the Book Cafe will be changed every quarter. To this end, the Central Library is open to receiving donations and suggestions of SNU professors’ books.

Contact the Central Library (880-8001, libcirc@snu.ac.kr) for further information about the exhibition. Call 880-8075 or 880-5580 to inquire about donating books or to recommend books for exhibition.
