Office of Academic Affairs has published an English version of 'Faculty Handbook' for international faculty members.

The Handbook presents important university policies, regulations, practices, benefits, and services. It also provides information on life at SNU campus and in Korea. 

It has 9 sections: Ideals and Goals of Seoul National University, Organization and Administration, Student Admissions, Teaching and Research, Promotion and Tenure, Salary and Research Fund, Welfare, Supporting Facilities, and Useful Information.

KIM Myung-Hwan, Dean of Academic Affairs who was in charge of publishing the handbook said,"Being first of its kind in English, this handbook is far yet from being perfect. I hope the international faculty members will help us refine it into a more practical, essential tool for understanding academic and cultural aspects of SNU."

The handbook is to be published once every two years and the contents of the book will be revised and updated annually.

Dean Kim said that"I hope this handbook will answer many questions the faculty may have on teaching, research, and campus life."
