The Paeksang Foundation’s Scholarship Program was founded by the late Mr. Ki-Young Chang (Paeksang). Below are the details of the Paeksang Scholarship. Please note that all documents need to be submitted in Korean.

  ㆍ Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students in liberal or social sciences.
  ㆍ Application Period: April 10, 2008 to May 10, 2008
  ㆍ Recipients:  to 10 students
  ㆍ Grants: Undergraduates: 2,500,000 Won; Graduates: 4,500,000 Won
  ㆍ Required Application Materials:

      -  Certificate of Registration (from current school)
      -  Korean Identification Certificate or Certificate of Alien Registration

- Selection and Nomination
1. Paeksang Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee (5 members) will review the applications. The final decision will be made by the Chairman of the Foundation.

4. Award Notification: Selected recipients will be announced on the website, and will also be notified individually

- Award Process
1. Scholarship and Certificate of Merit Awarding Ceremony
2. Scholarship funds are transferred directly to the recipient’s individual bank account

 
- Post-Award Procedures
1. Graduate recipients must donate their dissertation to the Paeksang Foundation upon graduation.
2. Recipients are asked to join the Paeksang Foundation Recipients Blog

 
- Conditional Requirements
1. Recipients of other scholarship and grant programs are not eligible for the Paeksang Scholarship program.
2. Applicants and recipients must abide by the Foundation’s Rules and Regulations and must not be involved with conduct of dishonorable behavior denouncing the Foundation.
3. Applicants and recipients must cooperate with the Foundation’s Post-Award Process.
4. Violation of the above requirements can result in the retraction of any scholarships awarded.

 
- Administrative Remarks
1. Received application forms will not be returned.
2. Application forms must abide by the basic forms provided on the Foundation’s Website.
3. Each applicant is limited to one submission.
4. The foundation will not respond to any inquires about the selection process.
