Professor Sung-Gyoo Park's research team from the College of Pharmacy at SNU has discovered WDR44 variants that induce human ciliopathy through international collaborative work with researchers from 8 nations. Park’s team found that WDR44 is a new member of ciliopathy-related genes by holding Rab11, a downstream protein, to prevent ciliogenesis.
