[Academic News] SNU Business School earned Accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). SNU's MBA program has also added MIT and Yale University on the list of double degree partners. Any SNU MBA student can apply for a double degree, and those accepted to the program can earn both degrees by spending less than a year in the corresponding school.

[University Policies] Two campus child care centers in Seoul National University will be integrated to meet increasing demand from working couples. The budget for this project will also be increased this year to 800 million KRW. 400 people are on the waiting list per year to have their children enter the child care center in SNU. SNU expects that the increased budget and the integration of the two centers will help resolve this problem of high demand.

[Research] Professor PAEK Chong-Hyon of SNU's Department of Philosophy completed the Korean translation of Immanuel Kant's Metaphysics of Morals. Since 2002, he translated other major works of Kant including Critique of Judgment, Critique of Practical Reason, and Critique of Pure Reason. Professor Paek said that the current Korean society is flooded by utilitarian thoughts, and that Kant's spirit is therefore required.

[Donation] The widow of the late Professor KWAK Seung Young of Howard University donated 100 million KRW to SNU. Professor Kwak earned his bachelor’s degree from SNU and Ph.D. from UC Berkeley. He also founded a scholarship fund for SNU students of economics. SNU will use the donation for the education and research of SNU’s Department of Economics.
