Extension for 2012 Spring Semester Tuition Fee Payment

Please note that there will be extended period for tuition fee payment as stated below.

1. For whom:
Students who have not yet paid the tuition during registration period

2. Extended Payment Period
- Thursday, March 8th ~ Monday, March 12th, 2012. 09:00 ~ 17:00 (internet banking included)

3. Payment Location(including internet/phone banking and ATM payments)
All local banks including Nonghyup, Shinhan, and Woori Banks
*Other banks except the three mentioned above will impose service charge.

※ Starting 2012, students who have exceeded the standard semesters will not be permitted to register 0 credits. Enrollment will be mandatory.

※ As the tuition fee for undergraduate students has been decreased by 5%, those who have initially paid the tuition prior to taking a leave of absence and reregistered in this semester will get the amount of tuition fee depreciated refunded.

4. Payment by Credit Card
Only payment by Nonghyup BC card, Nonghyup NH card, Shinhan card and Woori card is acceptable. Students may visit the local branches of the respective banks to pay by credit card or may pay via the on-line payment service of each card company.

※ Card payment cancellation is only allowed on the day of the payment.

※ Students may not change the installment purchase period after payment.

※ Payment by another person’s card is accepted. Payment by corporate cards or check cards is not allowed.

5. Payment via Other Means
  • -Every student is assigned a virtual account for the payment, of which the account number is stated at the tuition bill. A name of the account holder will appear as the name of the student assigned with the account. Your registration will be done as long as the tuition fee is paid, regardless of the name of the depositor.
  • -Cash payment at local branches of the banks.
  • -Using ‘등록금 납부 Tuition Fee Payment’ menu at the homepages and ATM of the respective banks.

6. Tuition in Installments (4 times)
  • -Applicable for: registered students with economic difficulties who wish to pay their tuition in installments (students who currently receive full scholarship or student loans are exempt)
  • -Application Period: Thursday, March 8th ~ Friday, March 9th, 2012. 09:00 ~ 17:00.
  • -Method: apply at the ‘등록금고지서출력’ (Print Notification) Screen
  • -Printout period for tuition bills in installments: from the day after the application is submitted
  • -Installment Amount: 1/4 of total tuition
  • -Payment Period
    · 1st round: Thursday, March 8th ~ Monday, March 12th
    · 2nd round: Thursday, April 19th ~ Monday, April 23rd
    · 3rd round: Wednesday, May 9th ~ Friday, May 11th
    · 4th round: Tuesday, May 29th ~ Thursday, May 31st

*Students must complete the required four installments. If not, registration will be made invalid.

7. Methods for Printing out Tuition Bills
  • -Log on to the SNU Portal (http://my.snu.ac.kr)→ click on ‘등록금고지서출력’ (Print Tuition Bills) located on the bottom left of the screen or;
  • -Log on to the SNU Portal → click on ‘학사행정’ (Student Administration) at the top of the screen→ click on ‘등록/장학’ (Register/Scholarship) on the menu on left side of the screen→ click on ‘등록’ (Register)→ click on ‘고지서출력’ (Print Notification)→ click on ‘출력’ (Print) or;
  • -Go to the SNU website → scroll down to ‘등록금고지서출력’ (Go to Print Tuition Bills) below ‘Quick Link’, on the upper right of the screen.

※ Payment Confirmation receipt printing services will be available from 13:00 on the next day of your payment.

※ If there is no tuition bill relevant to the student available, the student must go to a nearby Nonghyup, Shinhan, or Woori Bank and present their name and student identification number to pay their tuition.

※ If the tuition bill is not printable for whatever reason in neither the SNU Portal nor the SNU website, check that the Active X control and plug in has been installed (this can be checked in Internet Options→ Security Options tab).

8. Tuition Calculation Methods
(Only for students who have exceeded the standard 8 semesters)
  • Courses Fee
    • For Undergraduate Courses
      - 1~3 credits: 1/6 of courses fee
      - 4~6 credits: 1/3 of courses fee
      - 7~9 credits: 1/2 of courses fee
      - More than 10 credits: Full payment
    • For Graduate Courses
      - 1~3 credits: 1/2 of courses fee
      - More than 4 credits: Full payment
