Seoul National University Museum of Art to Host Good Morning Mr. Orwell Ver.2 as Part of ISEA2025, May 2329

The Seoul National University Museum of Art will host from May 23 to 29, 2025, as part of the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA2025), in collaboration with Art Center Nabi and the SNU Institute for Culture and Arts.

This exhibition reimagines a future where technology contributes to harmony and resolution in human society. Through the creative imagination of artists, it envisions a warmer, more inclusive tomorrow shaped in partnership with technology.

The exhibition title pays homage to Nam June Paik’s groundbreaking 1984 work , which countered the dystopian vision of George Orwell’s novel <1984> by proposing a future where technology connects rather than controls. Building on Paik’s optimistic view, this exhibition revisits the potential of technology as a unifying and creative force.

Participating artists explore timely themes such as Posthumanism, Artificial Intelligence, Future Cities, the Anthropocene, and Mediated Perception. The works also address the environmental and societal impact of technological progress, with particular emphasis on ecological concerns under the Anthropocene. Additionally, the exhibition presents a rich array of experiments in sensory experience and media.

From May 26 (Mon) to May 28 (Wed), a Special Track program will take place at the museum auditorium and lecture hall, delving into topics such as the preservation of new media art and arts education in the digital age. On May 29 (Thu) at 10:30 AM, a guided tour with the curator will be held.

invites audiences to imagine a hopeful future where humans and technology coexist. Admission is free and open from 10 AM to 6 PM.
