Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to thank the esteemed representatives of the distinguished universities of greater Asia who have come from near and far to help celebrate the opening of our new Global Student Center today.

Seoul National University has many achievements to its name and while we certainly aim to continue that grand tradition of academic excellence, we are now also in the throes of major change and challenges to our school.

My hope is that this new Global Student Center will go a long way towards encouraging and welcoming the many students from abroad who have come to Seoul National University with great dreams and goals in mind.

With your blessing, I believe this space as well as the Office of International Affairs will be able to play a great role in guiding those students towards a better future, not only at Seoul National University but also in the various corners of our region.

Please join me in congratulating the efforts of the diverse members of SNU here who strive to make our school a truly global entity and also wish this Global Student Center and the students who will undoubtedly take advantage of this space only the best in their endeavors.
