Director of SNU Plant Clinic Takes Office as the President of Korean Forest Society

Professor Lee, KyungJoon Takes Office as the President of Korean Forest Society. 

Professor Lee, KyungJoon (63) at the Department of Forest Sciences has taken office as the 18th President of Korean Forest Society with two-year tenure at the Society’s regular general meeting held at Kookmin University on February 14th.

Professor Lee has served as the Director of Seoul National University Plant Clinic, a member of Cultural Properties Committee at Cultural Heritage Administration. He has focused on taking care of plants for about 30 years, including his volunteer activities in Maldives in order to save plants from earthquakes in recent years as well.

Korean Forest Society was established in 1960, second to be founded as an academic institution in the field of agriculture next to Korean Agriculture Society (1954). About 1,200 Korean scholars in forestry are participating as members.
