The SNU Career Development Center offered the students taking the course Global Internship 1 the opportunity to visit Google Korea on April 4. Students interested in working as an intern in domestic and foreign firms voted for Google Korea as the enterprise they wanted the most to visit.

Following the welcoming remarks of Mr. Kim Ji Young, the human resources manager, the visitors took a tour of the company, attended a Q&A session with current staff, and participated in briefings on Google’s culture, vision, and overall recruitment process. Through this program, they were able to experience the atmosphere of an actual field of the enterprise and acquire practical information about jobs at the same time.

In the survey asking their impressions after the visit, participants expressed favorable opinions. They said that this kind of visit was helpful to them in making decisions about their career goals. Furthermore, they were highly motivated by this experience and also learned how to prepare themselves better for possibly working for such a company.

The SNU Career Development Center has held various enterprise visiting programs featuring Doosan Group, McKinsey, Samsung Electronics, NC Soft, P&G Korea, BMW Korea, and Han Hwa Chemical, among other companies.
