Schedule for Submission of Thesis for Fall 2012

From February 1 to February 3, the SNU Library will be accepting the Master’s and doctoral theses for those students who are graduating in February 2012. Students are encouraged to submit their thesis on time.

The submitted theses will be developed into a digital booklet, to be utilized by scholars all around the world through the SNU Library website (http://library.snu.ac.kr). The hard copies of the theses will be well maintained for preservation purposes.

1. Submission of Thesis in PDF file
  • Period: Thesis Approval by the Advisory Committee ~ Friday, February 3rd, 2012.
  • Procedure: Log on to the Central Library website (http://library.snu.ac.kr) →"학술연구지원 (Research)" →"학위논문 온라인 제출 (Submit Thesis Online, http://dcollection.snu.ac.kr/jsp/index.jsp)“
  • *You must submit the PDF file BEFOREM your submission of the hard copy.

2. Submission of Thesis in Hard Copy Book
  • Period: Wednesday, February 1st ~ Friday, February 3rd, 2012
    * Time: 09:30 ~ 12:00, 13:00 ~ 17:00
  • Location: Lobby of the Central Library, 4th Floor.
  • Number of Volumes to Submit: 4 volumes
    * One of the volumes should have the Thesis Approval sheet signed by all members of the Advisory Committee book-bound, and on the back of the same page, a Statement of Agreement for the Web Service of the Full Document (can be found at the Central Library website). The other 3 volumes should be bound with a copy of the Thesis Approval sheet.
  • Students from the Yeongeon campus should submit their thesis to their college department’s branch library (Medical Library, Dental Library).

3. Submission of “Thesis Submission Certificate”
  • Those who have submitted both the PDF file and the hard copy of their thesis can either receive the “Thesis Submission Certificate” from the 4th floor of the central library OR print it out from the Central Library website (http://library.snu.ac.kr) → “학술연구지원(Research)" → “학위논문 온라인 제출 (Submit Thesis Online)” → “제출내역(Submission List)”
    * This is possible ONLY AFTER returning all books loaned out from the library.
  • Submit to: The person in charge of academic administration at each college (graduate school).

Please note that all theses submitted during the submission period of Fall 2012 cannot be replaced.
