General Counseling Program
This program requires students
to schedule an appointment in advance and visit the Writing Class on the
scheduled day. We have counseling programs for undergraduate, graduate and
foreign students.
Undergraduate students are free
to visit our Writing Classroom whenever they have difficulty writing or when they
want to know their weaknesses in writing. Any form of writings related to class,
including book reviews, final reports and the like, will be corrected by our
Writing Classroom Research Assistants, all of whom are, at the very least, in
the doctorate course. Students can also get a help on report outlines or first
drafts.
For graduate students, we
offer counseling on seminar presentation scripts, final reports, and thesis
outlines. Our counselors, who are senior researchers (Ph. D) in the Writing
Classroom, will offer useful advice on planning and making outlines in your writing
process.
For foreign undergraduate students
who encounter difficulties while writing in Korean, we offer general counseling
programs for any writing assignments from class. Counseling will be focused on
proper use of Korean and its writing method.
Counseling During Hours of Operation
Students can meet with our
counselor at the Writing Classroom without an appointment during hours of
operation. It is a quick and convenient method to use when students come across
problems while planning or writing a paper. Our counselors will provide tips on
the problems without any reservation.
Email Counseling
Students can send an email
to receive a brief comment on relatively short writing pieces. In this case,
students do not need to come to the Writing Classroom; the comments will be
sent to the students via email. However, students may not receive detailed
corrections or advice through this process. To get a more thorough and detailed
correction, you must schedule an appointment after the email counseling.
