The Purpose of the Program
This program is comprised of the Independent
Study Scholarship and the Small Group Seminar.
The
Independent Study Scholarship will provide undergraduate students an
opportunity to participate in unique research activities related to any field that
the students may be interested in under the instruction of an advisor.
Participants should make a research
plan with their respective advisors and conduct the research according to the
research schedule(at least three hours in a week).
The Small Group Seminar will give support to undergraduate
students that form a regular seminar in order to explore and discuss their
interested subject with a “tutor”. The main purpose of these programs is
to encourage students to form a wide academic background through an intellectual
