Position: Part-time Proofreader/Editor Position

Employer: English Translation and Editing Service (ETES),

Language Education Institute (LEI), Seoul National University

LEI is looking for native speakers of English with excellent ability in proofreading and editing English documents such as scholarly papers, administrative documents, and application materials for the Seoul National University community. Applicants are required to have an M.A. or higher degree from an English-speaking country, with preference given to Natural Science/Engineering/Business/Law majors.

The recruiting procedure will include an interview (not mandatory) and a mock proofreading/editing test. Applicants are expected to work via e-mail. Those who have previous work experience in writing and/or editing will be given prior consideration. The workload varies, but it will not exceed 40 pages (Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing, etc.) for a given period of 7 workdays for regular editing assignments and 20 pages for 3 workdays for expedited editing. Further information including payment will be given at the time of the interview or after the test.

Applicants are requested to submit the following documentation to the LEI by regular mail:

- Cover letter (or a letter of self-introduction)

- Resume with one reference

- Copy of degree(s)/certificate(s)

- Foreigner's Registration Card (if you already reside in Korea) or Residence Card for Foreign National Koreans (or Report by Overseas Korean Residents; if applicable)
