SNU Lowers Tuition Fee for Three Consecutive Years

SNU has managed to lower tuition fees for three consecutive years. In 2013 and 2014, SNU cut tuition fees by 0.25 percent. This year, SNU succeeded in lowering them by 0.3 percent. The SNU Tuition Fee Review Board, composed of three student representatives, three school related persons and three non-school related persons, held three meetings during which they discussed tuition fees for the 2015 school year. SNU originally planned a 2.4 percent increase in tuition fees but student representatives on the Review Board requested a 5 percent reduction. The Board was able to reach a compromise of a small cut. An SNU official explained that its decision was in consideration of the economic burden upon students.
