SNU Students Constitute Fifty-nine Percent of Presidential Science Scholarship Recipients

SNU students make up more than fifty percent of Presidential Science Scholarship recipients. Last spring semester, 246 SNU students received the Presidential Science Scholarship out of 416 recipients, making up 59.1 percent of the total number. The rate of SNU students receiving this scholarship has steadily increased, from 35.1 percent in 2009, 42.8 percent in 2010, and 45.8 percent in 2012. The Presidential Science Scholarship is a prestigious merit-based scholarship the aim of which is ‘to select and support top talents with great creativity and potential in the fields of science and technology.’ This scholarship is supported by the Korea Student Aid Foundation.
